How does one create aged pots?

I read somewhere that if you paint unglazed terra cotta pots with yogurt, they will grow green on the exterior.

I'm experimenting with this and wonder how long it takes?

Do you reapply the yogurt once it is absorbed?

I live in SW Florida with a hot and humid climate which should help.

Any ideas are appreciated.
